GENDER EQUALITY

Welcome!

Hey guys. If you haven't figured this out already, this is a website to a) promote gender equality and b) educate those who don't know what gender equality is. Gender equality is pretty much exactly what is sounds like: equal rights regardless of gender or "The state in which access to rights or opportunities is unaffected by gender," to quote Google. Now, gender doesn't always mean the obvious male and female . Some of the lesser-known genders include:

  1. Agender - An idividual with no gender

  2. Transgender - Somebody who was born one gender who feels that they are another one (ex. born male, is female)

  3. Cisgender - Okay so I know I said lesser-known but cisgender is a good term to know. If you're cisgender you relate to your biological gender (ex. born male, is male)

  4. Bigender - People who experience two, and only two, genders

  5. Genderfluid - A person who, at any time, can identify as any gender or no gender at all

  6. Genderqueer / Non-binary - Someone who doesn't exclusively conform to a masculine or feminine identity

  7. Pangender - a non-binary gender experience that refers to a wide range of genders

...and many more. Moving on! So, gender equality means that all of these genders and others would be equal to eachother. Sounds great, right? The only problem that we all face in reaching that goal is really just people who stand in the way. People who don't know that they are just like everybody else in the way that we all have rights and that don't understand that what makes us different is what makes the world go 'round. I'd like to educate those people, so that's what I'm gonna do. One step at a time.
