GENDER EQUALITY

Okay. Our problem. If cis women aren't even seen anywhere near equal to men, how are we gonna raise awareness about our other-gendered people? Well, first we'll attempt getting women equal rights. To help with that, I'll give you some stats on women to men. All of these next facts are from www.makers.com.

  1. In 2015, only half of the world’s working-age women are in the labor force, compared to 77 percent of working-age men.

  2. African-American women earn 64 cents and Latina women earn 56 cents for every dollar earned by a Caucasian man.

  3. Around the world, only 22 percent of all national parliamentarians are female. That's double the number in 1995, but still a marker of slow change.

  4. Women with full-time jobs still earn only about 77 percent of their male counterparts’ earnings.

  5. 62 million girls are denied an education all over the world.

  6. Only 30 percent of the world's researchers are women.

So, according to these bits of information, women are definitely facing obstacles in getting equal pay, recognition and employment. If it's this bad for cis women, how bad is it for our trans friends?
